Question:
I was just wondering is there were any Dental Technician who have
successfully passed the TRA interrigation process? And if so, would you like
to share your experience, and perhaps give us some hints as to what they
want.
They refused us once, for seemingly the tiniest of reasons, and we dont have
an unlimited supply of cash to throw at them.
Tanks for any input that might come our way.
Answer:
My Girlfriend and I are both Dental Technicians. I applied to the
TRA in 2001, the only problem I had was that one letter from my employer
was undated, so they asked me to send a dated copy of that, I recieved
confirmation about 6 months Later. My Girlfriend applied about a year
ago and had no problems but she made sure she went into intricate
details with everything concerning her duties as a Teccie - right down
to the materials she uses. I'm not sure of your work experience, but I
reccomend that you go into heaps of detail when documenting the duties
that you carry out in the lab each day and also of the equipment that
you are using. Make sure that every letter you send is dated and signed
(and certified if not original)
I'm not sure if I can put an e-mail addy on here, but I'd be glad to
give you a hand when applying for the next one I'll be online most
evenings between 8 and 9 so give me an IM if your on
