Question:
Just wondering whats the best cures/preventions for gingivitis?
Answer:
Eliminating overhangs and stuff.
Ive got a very small case of this, due to the fact i was ill, and then my
imune system was down a bit, so got an infection and it led from there.. Ive
been brusing, but how much should i brust to eliminate any problems, i know
normal rates but thought the more you brush, the quicker the problem will go
away?
I recommend "rubber-tipping" the interdental papillae (the gum between
the teeth) four or five times a day ....... while watching TV is okay,
etc.
Just to clarify, what exactly do you mean rubber tipping?
Tooth brush with the rubber tip ........ stick it between two teeth
and make a circular motion ... Feels great afterwards!
This is because there is poor circulation in the gums. It is the end
of the circulatory tree. Massaging gets the blood moving ........
Where can you get these from, or can you just use a normal toothbrush.
What about good old flossing? That can make a huge difference! (Make sure
you wrap the floss around the tooth and wipe the tooth up under the gum.)
Listerine is also a good antibacterial rinse.
WaterPiks flush out the bacteria. It's all about bacteria control.
Flossing stimulates the gums ......... also gets out the huger
chunks of food, kernels of corn, sometimes the whole cob, etc.
Bacteria are too teensie. Its hard to snag them on the floss. They
keep falling off. Viruses are even worse.
When they multiply like crazy and form a thick layer, sometimes even visible
to the eye - then hey, the floss can do serious damage to these "colonies".
And you don't need to snag them out either, you just need to "disturb" them.
Smash em around a bit.
